Biography: J Morrison Photography

Born and raised in the Kansas City Metro area, a graduate of Central High School Class of 1977, Jarvis B Morrison Sr. started in photography in 1977 while serving in the United States Marine Corps. These early photographs were mostly of "Shore Party" operations, friends and sites while both on and off duty. Upon my discharge from the Marine Corps I continued to hone my skills as a photographer. As the family photographer I shot thousands of photographs of friends, family, weddings and specials events.

In 1998 I accepted the call to ministry of the Gospel; I am still a practicing Minister whose home church is located in Kansas City, Mo. I continued to work in photography; I went primarily digital in 2000. In 2004 I founded J Morrison Photography to help young couples get quality photography of their marital ceremony. Along the way I have added School Proms, school pictures, dances and Senior Portraits to my work. In 2006 we added the option of using digital backgrounds to our events and portraits.
